Meeting Minutes



The Mexia Bass Club met for its regularly scheduled meeting at the Library on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 7:00 pm in the Library.  The president, Buddy Borden, called the meeting to order and read the minutes which were approved as read.  Ron Talbot delivered the financial statement.  The Club has $2759.02 in the bank with all bills paid.


Mike Yeagar and Tim Miles are new members for this year.  They were voted into the club unanimously. 


There was no old business.


Checks for the May tournament at Trading House were passed out as follows:


May 2009 tournament at Trading House: First Place: Buddy Bordan and Justin Garnett with 20.76 pounds Second Place: Steve Hughes and Bert Harrison with 19.60 pounds Third Place: Ron Talbot and Ron Williams with 18.94 pounds Big Bass: Robbie Carter weighed in the big bass with a 5.94 pound bass


The fish were caught on crank baits, shaky heads, sinko’s, spinner baits, and worms. 


The June Tournament was discussed.  Lakes suggested were Belton, Palestine, and Cedar Creek.  Cedar Creek won the vote.  Hours for the tournament will be 6:00 am to 3:00 pm both days.  The log cabin ramp will be used.  Weigh master for Sunday will be Gerry Cox.


Kangaroo court assessed no fines.
