The mission of SSP is to empower the users of our solutions to be productive, successful, up-to-speed quickly, and using the power of the software to do new things in new ways.

SSP has been in the business of developing solutions that are efficient and effective since 1989. SSP products can be found across the United States. Solutions are research and experience based and field tested in live situations.

Software Solutions Pro develops solutions, provides technical expertise, and web hosts solutions. SSP solutions are simply powerful solutions.

Software Solutions Pro is a group of solutions professionals who have a great depth and breadth of experience in education and in software, hardware, and networking. We are educators serving educators. SSP has been providing solutions to educators for over 16 years. The company is owned by Raylene Renfrow, M.Ed., who has 31 years of experience in public schools, regional education service centers, and in professional organizations and statewide committees.

SSP is based on the belief that solutions should be:

  • simply powerful and dynamic
  • "clickable-easy"
  • focused on the user's needs
  • "touch-it-once" (enter data once and use it over and over)
  • flexible
  • should not be so proprietary that the data is taken captive or the user is held hostage.

because:

  • thinking is not linear, so solutions shouldn't be either
  • efficiency is critical
  • users need anytime/anywhere access
  • users appreciate control of their own data

SSP has proven solutions available for implementation on districtwide networks via LANs/WANs and also web-based solutions. Solutions may be hosted on-site or be provided as turnkey solutions with full support by SSP Systems Engineers and developers. Technical Support Services includes technical and networking support for installation, file sharing, and web-hosting. Support is provided by certified Systems Engineers. We can provide the hardware, software, and total technical support and take the whole burden on our shoulders. Our engineers are certified in NT, Cisco, Novell and hold certifications that include: MSCE, CNA, CNE, MCNE, CCNA, and others. Even more powerful is the experience they have had in design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of networks, software solutions, and web-hosted files.

SSP also does custom development of solutions to meet your needs.

Software Solutions Pro (SSP) is a charter member of the FileMaker Solutions Alliance (FSA) as a FileMaker Associate and was a member of the Claris Solutions Alliance beginning in 1994.

Raylene Renfrow, M.Ed. owns SSP and is the primary developer. Raylene has over 30 years of experience in education while serving in many capacities in districts, a regional education service center, and on statewide committees and organizations. Raylene's experience includes such positions as teacher, coordinator, director, component director, executive director, national presenter, and chair and co-chair of many statewide committees as well as membership on state and national committees. Raylene has been a state trainer in areas such as computer literacy, TTAS, PDAS, Instructional Leadership, math modules, and state telecommunications (TENET) as well as co-authoring the state telecommunications manual. Areas of service include teaching eight different grade levels, remedial reading, GT, enrichment, music, computer math, computer literacy, science/health, and middle school reading. Administrative areas include GT, Staff Development, Technology, and Curriculum and Instruction. She holds a lifetime certification in education as well as certification in math, supervision, and mid-management, with additional specializations in music and computer science. Mrs. Renfrow recently retired as Executive Director of Technology Services to focus full time on solution development and consulting.

SSP also offers decades of experience of associates and colleagues who work with SSP in areas of technical support, facilitation, training, and sales, which allows SSP to offer you a full spectrum of talent, experience, and wisdom.
