ApplicationPro is a full Human Resource Management tool. The solution includes:

  • the on-line applications - professional, paraprofessional, and substitute
  • collection of resumés
  • management of job postings
  • application screening by HR staff

  • in-district transfer requests
  • archiving of applications
  • reactivation of archived applications

APPLICANT ACCESS
Applicants can view current district openings in a list and can view the full job description for any opening by clicking on the job title. Applicants can access professional, paraprofessional, and substitute applications 24/7 at their convenience. A resumé can be typed into the space provided or copied and pasted into the resumé field.

Each applicant creates an account and password that allows re-login to complete, update, and/or review of his/her application. Applicants are not officially submitted to district personnel until they are complete, meaning all required fields have been addressed, e-signature and agreement have been done, and the system accepts the completed application. The application can be printed for their personal file when successfully completed.

The next steps in the application process are detailed upon submitting a completed application. Completed applications are immediately viewable by HR and district administrators.

CAMPUS ACCESS
ApplicationPro allows access from campuses on the network and from the web with appropriate passwords. It provides a nearly paper-free means to accept job applications 24/7 on the web, have campus personnel access/search the job pool for just the right job applicant using multiple criteria, view and/or print any applicable applications, summary cards, and/or lists of applicants and print if desired.

The application itself is read-only for campus staff, but principals can enter notes from references and interviews

Interview notes and notes from calling references can be shared among campus administrators. Those interviewed can be indicated showing who did the interview.

Criminal history data is not available to campus administrators.

HUMAN RESOURCE ACCESS
The human resources department can manage and archive the data as appropriate and post and unpost job openings with a click. HR staff can screen applications and determine which applications will be accessible by campus administrators.

HR staff have access to interview and reference notes and also have their own HR notes section that is not viewable by campus staff. Only HR staff have access to criminal history data. No Child Left Behind (NCLB) data is collected.

Reports of applicants and hirees, disaggregated by ethnicity, gender, and job type, can be generated for any period of time with a few clicks (Affirmative Action Report).

A Checklist feature allows HR staff to track the progress of applications - criminal history checked, interviewed, transcripts received, submitted to the Board for hiring, etc. Principals have view-only access to the Checklist as well.

Applications can be archived and re-activated by HR staff. Printouts include the affirmative action report, labels, individual criminal history certificates, full applications and one-page summary applications.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS
Data is entered by applicants via the web into a central relational database that any individual who is provided access at each campus and central office department can access from their district location over the network or the web from any location. Users can search/query the database for just the appropriate multiple criteria, view and/or print any applicable applications, summary cards, or list of applicants.

The system has a multilevel password system to protect data. The multilevel password scheme provides read-only access for all but a few data elements for campus staff and read/write access for HR staff. HR has two levels of passwords - a read/write password for regular HR staff and a higher level access password that allows purging of deleted data and setting preferences for drop-down choices for applicants, etc.

ApplicationPro is a totally cross platform solution that runs on a server and most operating systems and is accessible from Windows and Macintosh workstations. The solution can be hosted by the district or off-site for a hosting fee. For hardware and software specifics, contact SSP.

ApplicationPro is a one-time-right-to-use fee with no ongoing costs unless you choose additional options and support. ApplicationPro includes personalization with district logos and mottos.
